Recently farmers across the Indias, as well as the world, are fully impacted due to the enduring Coronavirus pandemic. And one simply cannot undermine the role of farmers in our life, and the economy at large. India observes Kisan Diwas 2022 or National Farmer’s Day 2022 on December 23, every year as we all know. Farmer’s Day is celebrated to honor the former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, the 5th Prime Minister of Independent India who was born on this day. The former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh is celebrated and honored on this day because he brought farmer-friendly policies and worked towards the welfare of the farmers. 

This day is observed to raise awareness about farmers and their role in the economy. He addressed issues and made sure that the farmer’s voice is being heard.
